@bensonleung but does dual-role USB-C work yet? ::::P
I have been driven completely insane by one person who seemingly joined Reddit just to say they got it working without saying how and then never opened Reddit again

@leo What exactly about USB-C dual role is not working for you on the steam deck?

I currently use the Steam Deck with various docking stations where one of the role swaps (port is in Sink/DFP role). This has allowed me to use USB-C headsets with a belkin USB-C audio + charging adapter, for example.

@bensonleung i meant OTG/gadget support, oops

@leo "OTG" as a concept does not exist when talking about USB-C, so you will have to be more precise about what you mean.

The USB-C port currently works for me to act as a DFP, or a USB host, so I can use it to drive USB-C headsets, for example.

It also works as a sink.

Are you asking for the Steam Deck's USB-C to act as a UFP or gadget, meaning you want to be able to mount it from your PC like you would a phone in MTP mode?

@bensonleung yeah (though linux still calls it otg)
@leo Ok... I'm a linux kernel maintainer and I work with the maintainers of the USB subsystems relevant here, and we don't call it that anymore except when talking about USB-Micro connectors. We call it "gadget" or 'UFP" now.
@bensonleung hm okay, maybe mixing things up with u-boot (or maybe i'm just wrong. that's also possible)
