I'm not entirely happy with the edges - some touching up may be in order.
But even so, it looks so much better now.

@revk FYI, when you do your next one, if you can find a big enough pot and fire, you can convert red iron oxide into black iron oxide by boiling in distilled water. It requires more equipment, but it avoids the acid spray. Maybe you can repurpose the hot tub...
(They do this to de-rust firearms)
