@RichardJMurphy (at the other place) makes this crucial point about this morning's sacking of #NadhimZahawi by #RishiSunakPM:

'If you can be sacked as a minister for breaking the ministerial code then surely you are also not fit to be an MP & should be sacked from that position as well? After all, why should constituents have to be represented by people found to be unfit for public office?'

Absolutely right!

@ChrisMayLA6 @RichardJMurphy I think only the constituents, who elect MPs, can sack them, can’t they? They do have a right to recall them, I believe, but they can’t be withdrawn from parliament otherwise.
