And here is possibly the most offensive 60-seconds of television I’ve ever seen, in which Tucker Carlson’s guest said Tyre Nichols’ brutal killing by the police is what happens when you have “young black men being supervised by a single black woman” (Memphis PD has a black woman police chief). He blamed a lack of “male authority” and said this is what happens in cities “run by single black mothers.”

@rvawonk Please, can we get content warning and sensitive media markings?
As important as such news content is, some of us PoC get triggered when we see such things and don't have a choice to "Show More" or unblur. Thank you.

My mastodon client is always set to hide media. If I see media, it means I had to tap it to unhide it, CW or no-CW. There are just too many things that are bad to consume that cannot be unseen, and people, collectively, cannot be trusted to respect my sensibilities.

Thinking more about it, *ucker Carlson is so predictably awful that anything that mentions him could stand to be filtered. Now and again I have to sample him to get a warning on the filth, but that's all.
