There's been effectively no traffic on or meaningful use of risky.af, so unless anyone disagrees, I am going to nuke it and reinstall it using akkoma rather than mastodon. I've been wanting to try it - I think it has a few of the highly sought-after features like quote-tweets and better search.
@jerry seeing that the search patch isn't going smoothly having an Akkoma infosec instance looks like a great option!
@buherator I still have high hopes for it, but also finding it is extremely controversial
@jerry The mere existence of Pleroma/Akkoma essentially decides the argument. I mean people argue about the design decisions of one implementation of a protocol, while other implementations exist, not giving .af (to stay on-topic ;))

@filippo I don’t understand why anybody takes those people seriously. Why give them oxygen? Imagine allocating so much mental energy to what Dave Winer believed about blogging.

@buherator my suspicion is that a large akkoma instance would become a pariah. Also, many of the most problematic instances do run pleroma (at least in my experience)
