Here’s where I’m at with the different account states for the settings view. I’m awful at copy so feel free to tear me apart 😅

I’m moving the account stuff to the bottom of settings once you’re in pro because I personally kind of like when, once your a paying user, you just aren’t bothered with any of that stuff unless you’re looking for it?

@charliemchapman i would say «unlock more sounds» instead of «all».

For grandfathered users i’ld say «you will keep all your sounds», so you don’t have to change it in the future.

@charliemchapman looks good. I also really enjoy when I pay for an app, either either a sub or get grandfathered in, to have a page reminding me all of the features I get because I’m a “pro” user

@charliemchapman I like it although I think you’re eventually gonna have to change the wording for “A Dark Original” since eventually there will be features locked behind Pro that grandfathered users who aren’t subscribers won’t have access to.

@anthonyvardiz that word “current” is doing a lot of work there 😅

I don’t have specific plans to ever lock original users out of features, but if a feature comes along that has a decent recurring cost to me I want the ability to if I need to

@JustMeDevin I’ve switched a couple times and… I ended up switching back because I kinda liked how this looked more? 😬

Probably just makes the app look old so I should switch, but it’s hard to give up that extra horizontal space, lol

@JustMeDevin Also, can’t simply use .insetGrouped because List is a giant pain for custom styling and this is all just manually rebuilt in VStacks 😅

@charliemchapman re: Free User. Could be good to have a specific call out for restoring your already purchased subscription.

I just wiped my phone and it took me days to realize Apollo wasn’t working as expected because my subscription wasn’t re-enabled.

@tmyrden ah that’s an interesting point. Though it’ll be pretty obvious in my case since a lot of sounds will be locked and pop up the Pro page (with a restore button on it)

@charliemchapman I would consider putting the Dark Original row at the top of the settings view if you want OGs to convert to Pros. But I understand not wanting to push those users.

@charliemchapman Personally I think the copy is fine but if you want to improve it, ask ChatGPT, I’ve been using it for the copy for Aux and it’s writing copy far better than I ever could
