@frans @RobbieD All about contracts though, right? If Rice has less time on his he won't cost as much even if he's as talented. Especially if he's forcing his way out. This is my perception of how these things work but I may be off.

It’s also January transfer window inflated prices, and quite late in the window on top of that. I get why Brighton is pushing for a crazy high price. I’m always uncomfortable when the price get that high (Pepe PTSD I suppose)

@mattlacasse @frans @RobbieD I still don’t feel comfortable with 90M. I feel like we should go after a different target if we can’t get him for under a 70M January window premium. I don’t think he’ll fetch 90M in the summer. Not sure they’d even get 60M+ for him then. We’ll see.
