The problem is they operate under the neoliberal fallacy that the federal govt is fiscally constrained like a household. So all of their "solutions" will be compromised by market driven approaches and privatisation. They will refuse to spend what will be required to fix the mess.

@dallas #Labor do it differently to the Coalition — such as in my state #Victoria, Dan Andrews and bringing back the SEC so the state can take control of the energy mix as we transition towards renewables

Or heck, the introduction of Medibank, followed by the reintroduction of it as Medicare after Fraser privatised it. A little private involvement isn't a bad thing if capital isn't unbridled
