Phil CoffmanAnyone have experience with the Apple Leather iPhone cases? I usually use the silicone ones but I donβt care for most of the colors offered for the 14 Pro.
stefan hartwig@philcoffman iβve done the leather before. the older ones used to break in all cool (especially the blue). the more recent ones didnβt do that and ended up getting a bit nicked.. went back to silicone. black.

I loved the leather case on the 7, X, and 11 Pro. Now on 13 Pro, but not sure if it will ever darken completely in the same way the older ones did, which is what I was expecting. π€·ββοΈ

@philcoffman I used to absolutely LOVE them. They acquire(d) a patina that made them very dark, and very leathery.
Protection was good: I accidentally flung mine from my pocket across the concrete entrance outside LAX Tom Bradley terminal. The π± fell flat on itβs glass face and flew across the ground with no damage.
Now have a 13 Pro, but the leather seems different. It doesnβt age the same. Itβs not old enough to tell if it will ever get the same uniformly dark patina. π€·ββοΈ
@philcoffman P.S. The buttons are fantastic. They are separate from the case, and there is absolutely no loss of feel compared to using no case.
This probably remains one of the main reasons to choose the leather case IMHO.

Benjamin Fritz@philcoffman I have the dark purple one for my purple iPhone 14 Pro Max and love it because of the grip and feel. Before that I had the Product Red one for iPhone 12 and loved it, too.
