Elon directly ordered the takedown of the account of @chadloder, one of the most prominent and effective antifascist researchers in the US.

(Not mentioned in the article: Elon did so at the request of Andy Ngo, a notorious far right stochastic terrorist.)

@oneredlite @gwensnyder @chadloder That all changed when Elon took over. Now people are suspended for whatever his most ardent followers don't like, along with speech against that. Many were suspended for putting Mastodon handles in their profiles, or opposing the changes at Twitter, also. It's completely arbitrary. Free speech is a joke there.
