Never been south of the border or overseas, so this is all the places I've ever visited: 30 states, 1 district, and 1 province. That'll definitely be 34 states by winter's end; by year's end maybe it'll be 48...

Interestingly, only 18% of Americans have been to 30 or more states, as I have already. Only around 5% have done 48 or more, as I might accomplish this year.

Which states have Americans visited, and which are their favorites? | YouGov

While one in 10 Americans (11%) say they've never left the state they live in, fewer than 2% say they've visited at least 50 of the 51 states and D.C.

I've gone to 1 other country, which 73% of Americans have done. Only 54%, however, have been to more than 1. Only 11% have visited 10 or more.

I have always thought this a big problem because US-Americans tend to be very insular in terms of their outlook on the world, and despite their government having forces and ‘interests’ all over the globe.
