I don't know how someone of you do it. Posting and replying 24x7 and managing jobs, families, and hobbies to boot. I'm 200+ posts behind and I may not catch up before I give up and jump to the top. *sigh*

@semifor Something I read a while ago said that they treated social media like a stream not a queue. They don’t bother trying to “catch up” they just dip in when they have time.

I really like this premise and found it got rid of a lot of anxiety around trying to keep up with social media.

@perigrin that's how I treated Twitter. But I've managed to at least skim all the posts in my timeline for weeks, now, and it's been rewarding, a very different experience than Twitter. I've fallen behind.

@perigrin the van project started it. But I trade it for nothing. A few hours of working with my hands, scraping my knuckles, cussing nonstop, and no room for distractions is extremely good for my mental health.

@perigrin if it didn't make your knuckles bleed, you're missing a critical part of the experience. I think I've had a docker container brain bleed. It was less rewarding. 🤣
