Things 3.17 Overhauls the App’s Shortcuts Actions

Things 3.17 is out for iPhone, iPad, and Mac with greatly expanded support for Shortcuts. That opens up a much wider variety of possible automations than ever before. It’s a lot to take in at once, but I’ve been playing with these actions since the end of last year, so I thought I’d highlight what

Thank you. Things is one of those apps that seemed to be just what I needed and was worth paying for, but I soon realized I'm not getting the full value out of it.
I did buy it anyway, in hopes one day someone could explain it clearly.
@johnvoorhees @macstories @club adding to today's reading list. I've not really dug into automation when it comes to Things, and I'm definitely curious to see how it could speed up my workflow.
@johnvoorhees It’s amazing. I paid for Things 3 many years ago and still get substantial updates.
@johnvoorhees @macstories @club @viticci Still no option in Things to change the font size, which is really criminal. It’s an app I would like to use, but I can’t understand their stubbornness regarding accessibility. I asked them about this years ago, and they said it wasn’t important.
@johnvoorhees @macstories @club Thanks for the write-up, John! 💙
@johnvoorhees I'm curious if these new actions would make it possible to build an Omnifocus-style "review" workflow to help you review your projects on a periodic basis to make sure they're still relevant 🤔

@johnvoorhees @macstories @club Great app, and a very useful article in explaining the benefits of the new features rather than just “and it has cup holders”.

Not sure why the team at @things don’t ask for more money. They just keep turning out quality updates and I feel like they’ve earned another payment!

@johnvoorhees @macstories @club Is there a web version of the App?. Would be great to use it on Win systems.
