About 20 min b4 sunrise now, and beautiful. Can see Mt Fuji so clearly. Zero clouds. But a chilly day today. Maybe 7 C but only for a couple of hours.

@johnserwach @protecttruth @rubecube12 @plutus Hope I don't have to do a painstaking Windows rebuild. Created a universal restore CD, & can add drivers. Crucial, no problem. But the chipset drivers for the MB may be. Acronis found them, but balked about some EPIDGroupCertLegacy.cer file missing. This "error" prevents completion.
@johnserwach @protecttruth @rubecube12 @plutus So I went ahead with only the Crucial drivers on the CD, but the drivers for EVERYTHING on the SSD where the backup resides. I hope I can restore my Windows system & get it to boot, but less confident cuz of that "error".
@johnserwach @protecttruth @rubecube12 @plutus I know I should probably ask Acronis support about this, but my previous experiences with them have been (how shall I say?) experiences in futile redundant suggestions that don't work.

Then a reboot should not fail.

No, I mean right now. I donβt have a time machine (donβt believe the rumors)π - the goal was to save the data (I think) so throw it in an enclosure even and boot up a laptop and pull your data back then reinstall windows on the ssd and then put data back on the drive (if you want)
@johnserwach @plutus @protecttruth @rubecube12 I can, and will, do this if necessary. Zero chance I will lose any data. Q is only if I will have to reinstall programs all day long. But any files, I've got 'em.

I think uber isnt a drain because all the small businesses that use it (uber drivers) are very profitable@ so if you add up all tbose profits and subtract Uber's losses you get a very profitable ecosystem.

Its a zero sum game, but you weren't counting its components. It has to raise prices on drivers to break even. Meaning my profits are inflated by its losses. So it is a zero sum game.

if it made money it would be growing the pie. Profitability = society's recognition of usefulness. Unprofitable businesses are not useful they dont make profit. They are not of service and there is no benefit derrived
