Florida wants high school athletes' menstrual information to be shared with the schools

Some other states have forms with similar questions, but the answers to those questions are ONLY between the athlete and their doctor, for the athlete's privacy

Florida wants that information to be shared with the schools

Should the school know if an athlete is healthy enough for sports? YES

Should the school know if an athlete might be pregnant? ABSOLUTELY NOT

It would be a real shame if every Florida high school athlete answered the "date of last period" question with "4/20/69"

@mvaneerde I agree. the question whether an athlete is healthy enough to compete is a boolean.

You could rationalize that the question about menstruation is correlated to health, but you could also ask about bowel movements, seizures, etc.

The question about menstruation also pertains to pregnancy and transgender. It is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
