It's been five years that my friend Nilou's been incarcerated. Five YEARS. I can't fathom it. She was such a free spirit; imagining her caged, it's horrible. She did nothing except try to help nature in her own country, #Iran. She deserves freedom. #NiloufarBayani

Niloufar Bayani was a friend of mine during my undergraduate days at McGill. After graduation, though, life took us in different directions and I haven’t spoken to Nilou in years. But then again, almost no one has spoken to Nilou recently.
