hey #fediverse

so I’ve been thinking about this for a long time

at some point yr humble fediverse servant is going to get called into a meeting to justify how I am spending my time over here

& I suspect saying “listen this is the most fun I’ve had on social media since early Tumblr” is not the move

This is all to say: if you want local #news here, follow us 😁.

If we get this working I think other news orgs. will follow.

@gbhnews So, has anyone made you a #fediverse share widget yet?
We, the people, are lazy. We are more likely to share your articles if we have your tacit permission with a widget, and it is fast.

Oh! you have to write your own, then? There isn't one in the open software?

I'm still feeling my way around on the #Fediverse. I had imagined you would only need to feed it select items, like marketing source, article number, issue number.🤔

@EugestShirley I think part of the upgrade will involve going to a newer version of our CMS software. Perhaps it will come with? One can hope.
