What happens is warm moist air starts gently moving north with the season, and lows can drag moisture up over the cold air; rain falls, then turns to snow at lower altitude.
@plutus @johnserwach @protecttruth @rubecube12 We almost *never get snow from the north or west in Tokyo. It comes from the south, which is counterintuitive, like many things in Japan to Westerners. 😂 On the Japan Sea side, or way up north, a whole different climate regime.

About 20 min b4 sunrise now, and beautiful. Can see Mt Fuji so clearly. Zero clouds. But a chilly day today. Maybe 7 C but only for a couple of hours.
