Watching Remembrance of the Daleks for the first time since 1988 and this is an experience

@mjg59

I also haven't seen it since 1988 so I have to ask ... is it actually ... good?

@forestpines I think that depends a great deal on your definition of "good"
@mjg59 mmm I thought you might say that. I was an impressionable 10yo who saw Sophie Aldred as a bit of a role model
@forestpines We are largely watching it because Sophie Aldred tbf
@mjg59 @forestpines and still kicked ass in the companion reunion episode more recently
@mjg59 The Doctor is even more vicious in the end than the War Doctor IMHO.
@ovidius @mjg59 just keep in mind that, without the hiatus, they were setting The Doctor up to be The Other, which I think could have been an incredible story. Much moreso than... what Chibnall tried to do, which I hope gets swept under the carpet. (Much to my chagrin, as Jodie got the shit end of the stick with that)
@mjg59 Ace was, and always will be, my favourite companion.
@mjg59 one of my pandemic projects was to watch the entire original run of Doctor Who. It was a slog sometimes, but finished it. Definitely an exercise in highs and lows.
