@ryan Thanks for sharing! Submitted a calm and well-reasoned response and it was so hard not to throw the term “nanny-state” back at em.
“…it is my opinion that the restrictions HB580 placed on communities to self-govern is state-level over reach. Communities … should be allowed to determine their own standards and adopt new standards as they improve. Under the existing law, communities can already choose to waive a sections of the code at their discretion...”
