Mastodon may never be popular in this Capitalist hell world, but the principles on which it was founded, and its distributed nature, appeals to me.
That includes CounterSocial. It’s a bit clunkier, but the platform has heart.
oknish@BeckyBunzy you really like countersocial? I tried it but didn't stick around. And I had the same reaction as you when I saw Reuters and other news orgs asking to be paid on Post to read articles which are free all over. Major turn off.
It's Just Jenn 🏳️⚧️@BeckyBunzy I have an account on counter social, but haven't checked it in a while. It's basically a really big Mastodon server, so I don't know why Jester doesn't join the #fediverse so we can all talk together.
