Just to be clear, when the New York Times reported that the FBI saw “no link between Trump and Russia” — a week before the 2016 election — the FBI agent who was just arrested over ties to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska was heading up the investigation.

Just an absolute scandal.

@SrRochardBunson don’t forget about the report that was quickly swept under the rug that Trump claimed proved there was “no collusion.”

This keeps rolling on & on ad nausea and after 2 YEARS, Trump is STILL NOT IN PRISON.
My money is on him NEVER going to prison. Any takers?
He'll die first, of some malady he's had since before he ran for office the 1st time...
Let's all face it.
He's NEVER going to prison!
This is a long running Dark soap opera for daytime TV.
Maybe someone should set up an investment fund that bets he never serves 1 minute of time in prison?

@ahumanbeinz @david @SrRochardBunson Watergate was far less complicated and took over 900 days to produce a conviction.

@raballentine @ahumanbeinz @SrRochardBunson the trial started less than 6 months later.

Conflating the time to conviction with the time to initial prosecution is being disingenuous.

Not even having an arrest and any charges brought is a major injustice against the American people.

If you did with Trump did, do you think you’d still be walking free?

The complete Watergate timeline (it took longer than you realize)

But the Watergate drama took longer to unfold -- more than two years -- than many people may remember. Here’s a quick refresher of the events that led to Nixon’s resignation.

@raballentine @david @SrRochardBunson Technically, Nixon resigned before the Senate could "convict" him.
The false notion that he was impeached & convicted still lingers thruout the US public's narrative.
Yes it took 900 days 2 get 2 a point where the House *would've* sent impeachment articles 2 the Senate. But they didn't get the chance because Nixon resigned.
It's a small peeve of mine, & I regret correcting anyone. But false narratives tend 2 become "true" over time.😐https://www.historyonthenet.com/was-richard-nixon-impeached
