@adamdew Blasphemy yes, but I think that Jesus’ message of inclusion and radical love, combined with his distaste for cynics and the greedy, was threatening enough to the social/political order that it was almost a no-brainer for politicians and priests to have him killed. Granted I’m a progressive Christian minister so I’m probably biased. Douglas Adams said it- we live in a world about 2k years after we nailed a guy to a tree for asking if it would be great if everyone was kind.
