All the "layoffs in tech!" stories merely demonstrate the massive asymmetry in coverage. Yes there are fewer Big Tech jobs now than there were a year ago, but there are WAY WAY more Big Tech jobs now (even after the layoffs) than there were just a couple of years ago. If employment opportunities are what matter to you, tech is still a great sector to be in.
