L O L G O PTrans people are a fraction of a fraction of America. Republicans want to drive that fraction of a fraction into hiding for a simple reason -- they're the 1 minority group the right feels safest bashing right now. They don't care & it's just a fun way to smear vulnerable people.

It's even more than that. It's a way to condition people to fascist attacks - choose a very small very fringe minority and gin up moral panic to justify oppressive legislation and condone harrassment and violence. Not enough push back allows that fascist infrastructure to grow and be used for other groups and situations.
