That protester fleeing from persecution will need access to information, comprehensive asylum rights, and financial support as well.
Pressure is reactive more than preventive.
If your political imagination stops at reactive measures, it is simply lacking. If you truly want to help, you need to go one step beyond. And I see very few even attempting to do so with regards to Iran these days.
