Every other comparable country has the same violent video games and movies we do. They have the same mental health struggles. They also deal with the same growing xenophobia and racism we do.
It’s not lack of Jesus either. We’re far more religious than our peers.
It’s the guns.
@RobertMaguire After endless thought (as non-ideological as I can manage), I've come to suspect that the true culprit in American gun slaughters is: Entitlement.
That is, all other elements (weapons-accessibility; mental health; video games; cultural/racial diversity) being roughly equalized in different societies, Reactionary Anger joined with the latter clause of the 2nd Amendment feed a murderous sense of Entitlement.
