I may not have business cards (and I wouldn't want a job that requires them!) but now I have a mug with my job title on it, and that's a thousand times cooler.

@anniebeeknits When I started as Word Wrangler, it was strictly wrangling _Word_ - making templates, enforcing styles, doing the last-minute formatting before submittal. But it didn't take long before I started wrangling words as well as Word, because I got so frustrated at the writers' inability to write cleanly and the coordinators' lack of proofreading experience.
I try not to wrangle Excel; that's my brother's job. (I have used it to design colourwork when I'm bored in offices, though.)
@anniebeeknits This is exactly the sort of connection I joined Mastodon for <3
I showed Husband your job title mug; he agrees that it's incredibly accurate for what you do!

@anniebeeknits @emery Hail, kindred spirits!
I ended up as chief proofreader/copy-editor in my last 2 jobs because I kept spotting the typos anyway, so it got made semi-official. And then my boss in the last job suggested I actually do a proof-reading course, and Work paid for it. (I paid for the advanced course later ... out of my redundancy money.)
