Over 100 billion people have lived on our planet.

Just 622 have been to space.

Just 12 have set foot on another celestial object, our barren moon.

Not a single human has been to another planet.

We know of no other planet that can sustain human life.

Why is it so damn hard to get people to care about protecting the only home we've ever had and the only place we can live?

Oceans Break Record for Highest Temperatures Four Years in a Row

Warming oceans can drive sea-level rise and extreme weather

@augieray

There is, except for large number theory, no evidence of life anywhere else in the universe.

The calm belief that this gossamer puff of life clinging to rock, is permanent or strong confuses me.

@kevinrns @augieray but does that mean we take it for granted, trash it, dishonor its gifts? How does that translate from your observation? We should worship and revere her, that she so ephemeral is, all the more

@caragraph @augieray

Adding to Augie Ray's math based points about humans taking earth for granted.

I dont know how you got those questions from my contribution to Augie's concern that we dont know how stupidly we're acting. How badly we are treating an interconnected fragile self supporting life system.

@kevinrns @augieray I don't know either. Apologies if there is a disconnect-- I'm lacking in many social cues and aspects, so the fault is mine, I'm sure.

@caragraph @augieray

Yes, I was agreeing with him dramatically and my point was lost in the thunder. I could be less florid, thanks for the reminder.

@kevinrns @augieray I struggle. Thank you for understanding

@caragraph @augieray

Thank you again for the reminder.
