Y’all I really don’t think you understand how dire this year is for #trans people. We are now at 134 anti-LGBTQ proposed state bills in 18 days. We have had 4 passed to floor votes with one of those already passing a floor vote.

- 51 banning gender affirming care
- 21 banning trans people from sports
- 21 Don't Say Gay/Forced Outing
- 15 Banning Drag
- 7 Eliminating legal recognition of trans people

@Alli I live in the state of NJ and we have not passed any bills that limit LGBTQ people from anything. We have actually passed bills increasing the rights of LGBTQ. Please correct you mis-information.

@TQdemocrat these aren’t bills that have passed. This also isn’t a risk assessment of if bills will pass. It’s simply a list and heat map of bills introduced.

@Alli The state of NJ has NOT introduced any bills to limit LGBTQ rights. You can easily google how progressive NJ is about LGBTQ

@TQdemocrat yes they have. NJ S2648, NJ A4042, NJ S3076, NJ S589, NJ A1630 are all anti lgbtq bills.

I don’t disagree, that NJ is progressive and that these bills will not pass, but they have been introduced. That’s factual.

@Alli FYI. S589 and A1630 are the same bill. It has nothing to to do with LGBTQ, it is a sports fairness bill. All of the other bills have NOT been written by OLS yet.Which means that some conservative Republican stood up made some ass introduction and could not get anyone to support the bills introduction.

@TQdemocrat @Alli it's a bill that explicitly bans trans people from participating in sports. Trying to say that has "nothing to do with LGBTQ" is objectively false.

Also, chill the hell out. What Allie is doing by sharing the active bills is helpful and important.

@parkermolloy @Alli I know that you and Alli are both young. I am an activist who has always supported LGBTQ people. It is is concerning when a state like BLUE NJ that has passed so many laws protecting LBGTQ is dumped with Red racist, homophobic states. The post could have been worded better

@TQdemocrat @Alli JFC, stop it. No one is lumping anyone in with anything. It was a list of bills that had been introduced, not passed. And then you had the gall to be like "Actually banning trans people from sports doesn't have anything to do with LGBTQ issues!" Which is BS.

Also, I'm 36. And I don't give a shit about how long you've been an "activist," anyway.
