@AlexJimenez
"The Agile role in our Tech organization was critical to our earlier transformation phases but as our organization matured, the natural next step is to integrate agile delivery processes directly into our core engineering practices," the statement said.

When you eliminate 1000 Agile jobs at once, how agile are you really? Shouldn’t the proper sizing of the Agile org been a bit more iteratively???

@paymentologist unfortunately, it sounds like CapOne has fallen for the short-term cost reduction in lieu of sustainable agility. Even the most tech forward banks are still banks.

@AlexJimenez I was being completely tongue in cheek.

Lots of corporations (well beyond banks) who are making staff reductions that seem to come from short-term shareholder value vs proper retention and allocation of resources and talent for the strategic long term vision of the company.

@paymentologist this is a lack of leadership found throughout business. The same seems to be happening with startups as well. They hire without thought and fire without a plan.
