@Justinarevolution In modern America, corporations are the nobility. They're considered "persons" in terms of rights (absurdly, the Supreme Court says corporations can have religious convictions) but have none of the accountability a real person has. They can murder people and pay a fine for it; nobody goes to jail, and the corporation still gets to operate.
