Wowzer. Absolutely scandalous. We live in a profoundly corrupt country.
@mikegalsworthy Mike I’m a CharteredTax Adviser (albeit specialising in VAT). Tax avoidance can be tackled with a two paragraph law. 1. If HMRC says it’s tax avoidance it is (but dangerous as HMRC isn’t that reliable) 2. You have the right to appeal. It will put a lot of people off. I would also make sure that details I’d who is appealing and what we’re published widely. #GTTO
@mikegalsworthy I could have written that in English.

@mikegalsworthy

But it's all run by *them* for *them*. It'll never change. What we call corruption they call normal.

@mikegalsworthy
Wait til you hear what the rich did during the British Empire.

General Strike for a General Election (@StrikeElection1) / Twitter

This account was created to try to bring people together to organise a General Strike for a UK General Election NOW. Not in two year's time. Together we CAN.

@Elemjay1 @mikegalsworthy Where, any details?
@LostInPompeii @mikegalsworthy
ADDITIONAL info:
My thinking is we all strike, starting 16th March.
We continue striking one day at a time until the UK Government calls a General Election.
If no election is called on 21st March we strike again
6th to 11 April 2023 inclusive.
(Good Friday, Easter Holiday).

@LostInPompeii @mikegalsworthy
My thinking would be strikers outside local seats of power as well as the major ones.
I'm open to any and all advice or support ANYONE can offer.
I've set up a dedicated account on the Bird site.
@StrikeElection1
@Elemjay1 @mikegalsworthy There are so many similar minded people who also want to take action. It is essential to get all those individuals following the dedicated account on the Bird site. Mike, shout loudly, you have a voice more widely heard. I’ll do my bit, a squeak by comparison.

@mikegalsworthy what are you complaining about? You voted them into office.

... oh, wait..

@mikegalsworthy
Individual tax avoidance, esp of the rich, not bring punished is just 1 example of how paying fair dues is being turned into 'just something for the little guys'.
Corporates, countries, über-rich treat tax / payments to deliver equality with contempt. Why do we tolerate it?
