Brandi Buchman
Just waking up to another day where my future is uncertain and I am yet again in a position where despite working extremely hard, I don't know if I'm going to have a job in a few weeks.
I'm pushing 40 and it blows my mind regularly that despite playing by the rules and giving it everything I've got and then some, I can't find stability.
Such is life.
As my mother once said, it's an adventure!

Here's what I want to do:
I want to report. I want to write. I want to inform people. I want to make enough to live in the town I report in. I want to one day buy a house but I am making my peace with the fact that this may NEVER happen. But I want to work. I don't have children. I love to write. I love to report. That's what I want to do.

@Brandi_Buchman I hope more of the people who frequent Daily Kos make noise about it. You and all the people who contribute journalism are an important resource for a liberal Democrat like me. There are enough members there that if they all paid a reasonable yearly subscription would more than bring in the money the writers need to continue doing good work. I don't know if a movement can be started by members but I'd rather pay a subsc. to DKos than NYT.

@Brandi_Buchman I just find it so unbelievable that the Daily Kos has become exactly what it shines bright lights on: union busting companies such as Starbucks and Amazon. It makes me sick.
