@xrubioj The decision predates my time in the team, but my opinion: unified build system across languages, proven internal foundations for build reproducibility and reliability, code provenance validation, and, quite important, prior knowledge by teammates. I would personally not use Gradle, and I do not know Buck.
@jmmv Makes sense. We use buck for the exact same reason.
