MAGA radicals are refusing to raise the debt ceiling unless Biden agrees to devastating cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

They don't actually care about the debt.

They're willing to drive the economy off a cliff in order to chip away at our most vital social programs.

@rbreich I wonder if there will be any reporting on whether the people most impacted by cuts to medicare and social security change their votes since they were the largest block supporting the MAGAts.
@rbreich if 0nly you’d have Stephanie Kelton (“The Deficit Myth”) on your show. She would lay bare the pernicious BS being spouted by McCarthy and his briberyees…
@pallsopp42 @rbreich to bad the #cult45 & #MAGA members would listen! Sadly they won’t even though they know it is correct 😞

Garland should start arresting Donor Class January 6th financiers until Republicans get their shit sorted out as this debt ceiling nonsense is what giving traitors endless mulligans encourages.

@rbreich How about raising taxes on Elon and the rest of his billionaire cronies instead of making those less fortunate even less fortunate?

@rbreich The response should be, "Do it. Do. it. I dare you. I double dog dare you."

Really, just stop encouraging them. Sometimes, you just have to let the toddler have a tantrum in the corner.

The EU is embroiled in a bribery scandal by the same nations implicated in dark money groups in the UK & USA.

Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.

This might explain why Jack Smith was selected as special council. The international nature of a growing global anti-democracy movement funded by tax-evading elites.

What You Need to Know About the Corruption Scandal Involving Qatar and Morocco

Whether it’s going after shady Russian oligarchs or chiding governments for failing to tackle corruption, one of the European Union’s most potent weapons is its own record in fighting graft closer to home. So it’s no surprise that the bloc’s critics are making the most of a bribery scandal at the European Parliament involving lurid revelations of suitcases stuffed with cash. The case centers on just a handful of people at the 705-member assembly, but could still undercut the EU’s soft power.

So far the House GOP have used their new-found power to attempt to extort the President and to interfere in ongoing DOJ investigations.

I'm sure they are busy trying to figure out if they can give criminals a pass...get the seditionists out of prison and erase Trump's impeachment.

They may control the checkbook, but they don't have the power to pardon or rewrite history.
