I'm so happy to see that the new @icecubesapp has implemented something I've imagined since we rolled out our own Mastodon instance (https://mastodon.macstories.net/@viticci/109542886691696219):

The ability to pin local timelines from *other* instances for quick access. This way, if an organization has their own instance, you have a fast way to see all posts from it.

I love this idea. Well done @dimillian đź’Ż

Attached: 1 image A nice perk of running your own Mastodon server for your organization: The local timeline becomes a very effective way to see all posts from the team. For example, the local MacStories timeline, accessible by anyone via this link, is like a MacStories list featuring posts from all of our accounts. https://mastodon.macstories.net/public/local

@viticci Mammoth and Toot! also support, it’s a great feature!
@jeffgreco Came here to say this - @viticci hope you’ll give these other great developers a shout out too!
@jeffgreco are you sure about Mammoth? I can't figure it out at all!
@bonaldi check out explore tab > browse other communities. then while viewing a public timeline, you can “pin” it
@jeffgreco superb, thank you! Can’t believe the speed this app is growing at.
@jeffgreco @viticci FWIW, Metatext can add the local timelines of other servers too
