Been maintaining essay-oriented personal websites for 25 years, well before anybody thought of stamping an RSS feed on a site and calling it a ‘blog’.

And I can tell you this with absolute certainty: blog posts don’t change minds.

They can help you make up your mind if you’re undecided and clarify your thoughts if you are decided.

But they never change a decided mind.

@baldur sometimes when I skim a blog post that has another opinion than mine but seem solid I bookmark it and only read it I feel in the right state of mind to be challenged on this topic, sometimes it takes a few weeks, and times to times it seem to works
