Element is probably the single most buggy piece of software that I voluntarily use on a daily basis. What's the best alternative? (for desktop linux)
@retr0id idk I use element but there is also nheko
@retr0id if you're okay with flutter and using flathub or snap you should try fluffychat. It's much better on the design department, supports e2e, but it's still chromium dependent.
@retr0id weird, i haven't had any issues so far on Linux... i like many of the features like keeping track of unread etc.
@retr0id I really like Cinny. They have a webapp at https://cinny.in and a desktop app at https://github.com/cinnyapp/cinny-desktop.
Cinny

A Matrix client where you can enjoy the conversation using simple, elegant and secure interface protected by e2ee with the power of open source.

@retr0id I feel the same about Element, also it has so many UI/UX issue it’s very annoying to use. My personal favourite client is cinny https://cinny.in/ They are also on the fediverse :)

@mauro is #cinn strictly web, is there an app? if not, does the web app work well on mobile?
@lps there are apps, I’m using it on Windows but I’m pretty sure there are for any OS (electron?)
