@carlgleisner Who'd a thunk 52 years ago how common Unix / Linux would be today. I'm sure they would have thought we would have come up with something better by now. Of course, these people never imagined the hot mess Windows is back then.

@druce Right?! Finished reading The Cuckoo's Egg last week and was obviously considering many of these long-term aspects of computing while reading that book.

I believe short-sighted thinking is deeply human and such an interesting topic for doing computing, and thus security, better.
