I still occasionally get asked for Harry Potter comics, and I know the right answer is "sure, here's BOOKS OF MAGIC," but seriously, what if they do happen.

I know it's unlikely, JKR probably thinks comics are beneath her, like trans people, but if they *do* happen the moral stance is not to carry them. I'm sure it'll cost me money because there are plenty of stores around here and I'm sure at least some of them will go all in on any HP comics.

...Especially if I go out of my way to note that I'm not carrying them.

When this happened with Orson Scott Card writing Superman, and I said I wasn't going to carry it, for every 10 people saying "good on ya," I got one person declaring "I'M NEVER SHOPPING AT YOUR STORE AGAIN," which is fine because they probably never did in the first place.

I suspect things would not be so cut and dried now, with more people buying into the poisoned Fox News-esque "all these woke SJWs are ruining everything" mentality, and more venues to shout it from...I'm sure if I said "I'm not carrying HP comics" I'll get absolutely lambasted by outright loons.

It was easy to not carry Comicgater books, because 1) distribution was limited 2) if the books came out at all. But a big property like HP would be EVERYWHERE and demand will be high because fans of the property either don't know or don't care that JKR is a terrible person.

I've carried comics by not-great people before, but I'd be a hypocrite if I turned a blind eye to HP comics. I can't put any more money in JKR's pocket, I just can't. And I know she'd never notice.

@mikester I appreciate it. I hope you don’t end up taking a hit for this.
@matthew thankfully it's just theoretical at this point!
@mikester Just give them the issues of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen where Harry Potter is the antichrist.
