My 2nd TiVo Edge in 4 years has another failing hard drive.

Thanks to @caseyliss , I'm working on migrating the TiVo (cable card) to @getchannels DVR. With "TV Everywhere", I am able to try it before my HDHomeRun even arrives.

More bonuses:
* TV Everywhere can function as additional "tuners",
* I'll be able to watch an NBC affiliate from my Airbnb - at home.
* I already travel with an AppleTV, it'll be nice having my DVR "with me."

So far, buy-in from the wife seems positive.

@klinquist I finally gave up on TiVo when mine broke and I spent eons (and a fair amount of $$$) unsuccessfully trying to get it working again. Channels is by far the best DVR I’ve ever used.
@klinquist @caseyliss @getchannels as a decades long TiVo devotee (also with the cable card), this is the way. I also just ended up switching to YouTube TV to save myself $180 a month tho (I was spending $250 a month on JUST cable like an idiot)
@klinquist @caseyliss @getchannels my wife took to it pretty quickly a couple of years ago. I have hiccups with TVE every few months but saving a fortune and don't miss Tivo at all.
