@mrgeoffshumba you can only use this service if you're already registered to vote. If you are not on the voter list you have to provide photo ID to get on the list.
@Pathpink That is the current situation, sand photo ID; If you are not lister by electoral return you have to apply, albeit not providing photo ID.
@mrgeoffshumba that is strange, when I tried to apply to go on the electoral roll last year , I was told I had to provide either a passport or driving licence.
@Pathpink The local authority household residence questionnaire certified voter registration until the new bill. A utility bill sufficed for identification.
@Pathpink Proof of identity was required, e.g bank statement, but not photo ID.
@Pathpink Might apply if you were living in temporary accommodation.
