@TheLabAndField At least the pressure has made it as far as cabinet budget discussions. There is also some debate about the value of Research Chairs vs. more discovery grants, but I don’t know the Minister’s position on that. Changes to the latter would take longer to implement, should they chose a change in policy/strategy. @wishartae would know the latest.
