“Give Cyclists Space”
@dmoser Lack of self awareness? Must be a Republican sign.
@Oneworldnot3 Funny. Also very tired to make everything partisan politics. I think improving cyclist emancipation or environmental awareness is a worthy poltiical goal in its own right. (Also, likely not a conservative sign to advocate for cyclist rights in any country I'm currently aware off)
@sehe Partisan politics? That's a sad euphemism for fighting against fascist ideology. Yea, I'm tired too. I'd love to go back to the good ol' days of not giving a damn about politicians and enjoying my life. But here we are. One political party cares about all people; the other wants to destroy all that are different. The sign itself is indeed a wonderful advocate for cyclist rights (Democrat), but it's dangerous placement directly in the path of said cyclists (Republican), make it a threat.

@Oneworldnot3 There’s a lot of ground between “not caring about politicians” and calling bad things your favorite enemy party. Indeed, if the reactionary tendencies allow a GOP to swerve more and more towards fascism, the solution is not to become reactionary as well. Democracy works when people talk. We certainly agree about the gravity of the political landscape.

As for the traffic sign placement, “Never attribute to malice what can be explained by mere stupidity” (https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon%27s_razor)
