Twitter is such a fascinating journey into technical decline. Each morning it's like: what weird fucking glitch/act of managerial sabotage will you exhibit today? Right now it's that my notifications have all reverted back to January 6th.
@iandunt if we reply to these crossposts on mastodon, are you checking your replies here (on mastodon) or is Mastodon one way posting for you at the moment?
@iandunt I'd not noticed too many glitches, I assume because I largely access via Tweetdeck on desktop now. That changed yesterday, when the Tweetdeck timeline started jumping around randomly making it unusable.
@iandunt What is this "Twitter" you keep talking about..?

@iandunt It’s the first one of these that many of my non-tech friends have seen

I’ve fought in many similar wars before, but this one is an open textbook turning the pages

I still deploy death stares at people who say Y2K was no big deal — dear sir let me tell you that almost nobody started working on it until 1997. Things started breaking slowly. But we all pulled together, hard. In separate battlefields, never knowing each other’s names. By 1/1/1999, of necessity, most of it was done.
