@Max_Gross
Max, Russia's war on Ukraine is far, far, bigger than all those other conflicts put together. It's not lack of sympathy for other conflicts, it's the sheer industrial scale of what Russia is doing that makes it impossible for media and governments to ignore.
@ToniScott @Max_Gross that is simply not true, the death toll from the war in Iraq was massive, the destruction of major cities in Syria was almost total, the Afghan war ran more than a decade and a half and the de estates population has no infrastructure and is starving
@stewsmith @Max_Gross
All of that applies to Ukraine, and it hasn't taken decades, just 11 months. Nearly a quarter of a milliion people have already died, and about 5 million people have been made refugees. More ammunition has been used than in any conflict since the second world war. Ukraine is a massive country - the scale of what is going on is mind-boggling.
@ToniScott @Max_Gross you’ll have to supply some kind of reference for that death toll Toni (it’s almost 25,000 dead per month),
And the ammunition claim,
Sorry, but I don’t think either are correct
@ToniScott @Max_Gross even if this number is an underestimate, you’ll have to explain why the UN reckons 7000 and you reckon 250,000
