Yes, it's a common argument of some Conservatives/Republicans that many black folk/ POC fail to succeed or prosper bc they don’t take up the vast opportunities available. When in truth, racist mindsets forged over decades haven't changed & they are discriminated against at all level of society thru systemic racism (in judicial system, health, education, housing, employment etc.). It's merely a way to avoid having to combat wide-spread racism & discrimination & change the status quo.
