Boom!

“There is no set of moderation rules nuanced enough to be fit for purpose in regulating the speech of three billion Facebook users in more than 100 countries speaking more than 1,000 languages.”

@debs @pluralistic @bencaudron If I've said it a thousand times, it is now 1001: #ScaleIsTheProblem

We all use DNA, even tardigrades, yet the world's largest organism is still only 600 hectares.

"We seek to hold the sky, but we cannot."

@pluralistic @bencaudron @teledyn yes yes and yes!

I still wonder if we can scale healthy spaces - *if* we do it slooooowly

@teledyn @debs @pluralistic Damn! Why can’t I just click favorite and move on? Why is your question filling my brain? Well, who cares… it’s happening. First very preliminary ideas are questions: should we explicitly aim for a specific feature (safety) of a space while scaling up?

How does that approach impact the process, the possibility?

Is phased scaling with permanent evaluation of temporary outcomes and iterations when judged appropriate a workable alternative?
