Just finished The Last of Us pilot and WOW it vastly exceeded expectations. Casting is superb—especially Bella as Ellie—and I can’t wait until next week. Glad HBO still does weekly releases. Forces you to ponder and anticipate!
@snazzyq as someone coming in cold (completely), will it be enjoyable?
@leoncowle @snazzyq my partner who hasn’t played the game really enjoyed it!
@snazzyq the intro to the whole pandemic was so amazing. I was telling my partner that I felt like I was playing the game again. Her face when the event before the time jump happened was the same face I made while playing the game. I loved that even though I knew what was happening I still felt very uneasy and anxious. Phenomenal beginning.
@snazzyq 100% agree with weekly releases, I don't have time to binge series in a single night!
@snazzyq As someone who intends to also play the game, is it better to do game -> series or series -> game? #LastOfUs
@mgangelov @snazzyq The game is one of the best video games ever because it plays more like a movie or literature than a video game (making this series inevitable, really). I would play the game first because you will be more invested in each character and the ending should really be experienced via the game…it’s so powerful.
@mgangelov @snazzyq I would recommend game -> series to appreciate how amazingly they’ve recreated the series (which I never thought would be possible, when playing the game - TBH, I even remember thinking that it’s just really sad that such an amazing story and game will never become a series, but damn!)
@snazzyq Thanks for your feedback! I’m waiting for the season is complete before jumping on it :-)
@snazzyq It was a great episode, as a fan of the game I also think the additions & changes they made worked perfectly. Let’s hope it continues this way!
@snazzyq thought it was excellent and it had me and the wife hooked. Never got around to playing the game so there are no expectations (which is nice).
